About Our Team

“In 1989, my wife Sandra and I moved to the United States from Chile, seeking better opportunities and a better life for our family. We worked multiple jobs—Sandra during the day and I at night—so we could care for our children. During this time, I explored various construction trades and discovered my passion for painting.

In 2001, we moved to Central Florida for a promising opportunity in Orlando, after 11 years in Broward County. Once that project was complete, I was inspired to start my own painting business. With the help of a Sherwin Williams representative, I was able to grow the business.

To make it easier to pronounce and because the success was a team effort, we combined our last names—Valenzuela and Mendoza—to create Valmen Painting.

Our children grew up helping during summers, learning discipline, responsibility, and the value of hard work. Eventually, two of our sons chose to join the business, continuing the legacy.”
